ADEETECH®, is reshaping SCD research and empowerment in India. Dr. Devendra Lingojwar leads the charge, driving understanding of SCD and change in communities. Beginning in 1999, Dr. Lingojwar's SCD journey progressed from India's epidemiology studies in all three prominent pockets of SCD to viral pathogenesis and plasma expander-based therapeutics in the USA. ADEETECH® is a catalyst for change, with startup ventures and the non-profit "RESEARCH NGO" dedicated to SCD social work at ground level in tribal areas, specifically in the state of Maharashtra state. Scientific feats include reporting human parvovirus B19's impact on SCD in India and pioneering therapies in SCD mouse models in the USA. Dr. Lingojwar's role as scientist, educator, and entrepreneur empowers budding researchers in the human genetics and genomics field, advocating for private sector engagement and skill development for marginalized SCD-affected communities long-term and sustainable diagnosis at village model of SCD testing labs. Recognition came via the Distinguished Bioentrepreneur 2020 award, presentations, and impactful fieldwork awards for "RESEARCH NGO." ADEETECH®'s ongoing efforts span virology lab development, BSL2+, future program on B19 vaccine development, ongoing SCD clinical genomics and genetic modifier studies and skill development courses for graduates and post graduates in biotechnology and Life Sciences. The holistic approach integrates research, entrepreneurship, and social impact, driven by Dr. Lingojwar's vision for SCD control and better lives for those affected.
